Must-Have Montgomery Gear

By: Anna Shay Wasden

We live in such a great city filled with history, character, and southern hospitality, so why not represent in proudly? We have rounded up a few of our favorite ways to represent our Capital City all while keeping it fashion-forward.

1. Montgomery Parties Harder Graphic Tee

Get it online here

Cloverdale’s younger audience has taken a liking to the catchphrase, Montgomery Parties Harder. The popular hashtag is now available on a t-shirt. Featuring a simplistic design and super soft fabric, this tee will be your go-to for any occasion.

2. MGM Aviate Hat

Kinnucan's and online here.

We have the fashionable fix to any bad hair day! Aviate’s three letter design spans throughout the United States. While they offer t-shirt options as well, Aviate’s hats are the real shining stars. Available in black, navy, and grey, Montgomery is represented in the design by a simple MGM. Other state favorites like Tuscaloosa, Auburn, and Birmingham are also available.

3. Alabama Outline Tee

Goat Hill Gift Shop

Goat Hill, located across form Alabama’s State Capitol in Downton Montgomery, offers a wide section of handmade gifts and knick-knacks made right here in Alabama. Their state outline t-shirt names all the main cities we love in our great state. Available in a peachy hue, it is guaranteed to stand out in any crowd.

A Rainbow After the Storm

Friday, September 25, 2015

Four-year-old Winston Crampton was a victim of one of the worst cases of child abuse that we have ever seen. It gets worse… it was at the hands of his mother and her boyfriend. Winston's father, Joey Crampton, has been fighting for custody of his son and even solicited DHR for help to no avail. Winston was hospitalized and will have to undergo extensive surgery to repair the damage. It shocked our community, and people have been anxious to find out how they could help the family. Today, Gill's Southern Diner hosted a fundraiser for the extensive medical bills that insurance won't cover. By making a donation to the family, Gill's gave patrons their meal free of charge. RSVP worked the event today, and over 400 people came by for breakfast and lunch raising over $5,000. Today, more than ever, we are proud to be a part of this community. We love it when people come together to bring sunshine to those who have been stuck in a storm. We are all pulling for you Winston!
