ANITA CARTER

More families are moving to the River Region and Anita Langley Carter is making them feel right at home! As Vice President of Residential Marketing and Management for Jim Wilson & Associates, Anita is responsible for the success of many development projects, including New Park, a new residential community off of Ray Thorington Road, and Wynlakes.
She is a graduate of AUM and has earned a Master s degree from Troy University. Anita has been married to husband, Todd, for 19 years and they have 3 children to keep them busy - Delaney (12), Harrison (10), and Wilson (7). A native of Montgomery, Anita enjoys the small town feel, and loves meeting people new to our area. Living by the motto, you get what you put into it,  she strives to give100% to her community and feels that Montgomery has always provided a wonderful place to live and raise a family.


BARRETT BAILEY

Specializing in figurative drawing and painting, Barrett Bailey is an inspiring success. An accomplished artist, he is a Montgomery native who earned his Master's at the prestigious New York Academy of Art. After graduation, he returned to his undergraduate alma mater, AUM, as an adjunct instructor and has expanded his teachings to Huntingdon, the Montgomery and Birmingham Museums of Fine Art and through private lessons.
Barrett's true passion is commissioned portraits and feels privileged that through the support of the community, what is a hobby for some, sustains him financially. Overcoming the starving artist  stereotype, through word of mouth, this left-handed artist has rightfully grown his fan base, as avid collectors are including his name in their personal galleries. He has contributed several pieces to various charitable organizations, including ASF's armchair auction and the Montgomery Cancer Society.


CHARLANN JONES

When it comes to community involvement, you can count on Charlann Jones! This Senior Associate with Jackson Thornton is linked to over 10 organized causes, serving the public with her time and abilities. As a Tax Accountant for both individuals and businesses, she credits her employer for avidly supporting her passion for external leadership.
Throughout her life her mother influenced her to be a self-sufficient woman, helping her complete her first set of books by the age of 12. Years later, she realized her dream and graduated from Troy University Montgomery in 1998 with a degree in accounting. For the past seven years, she has worked for Jackson Thornton where she offers each client ears for listening; gaining their trust to offer solutions specific to their concerns. Her roster of community association includes the Prattville Service League and Chamber of Commerce, Prattville-Autauga Character Coalition and the Autauga County Auburn Club.


CLINT DARBY

Clint Darby left his role as educator of art to become a multi-album recording artist. As a professional musician, singer and songwriter, he continues to illustrate his talents with over 250 performances each calendar year. Clint developed an appreciation for music when playing in his junior high and high school bands and eventually chose guitar as his primary instrument.

Encouraged by family to pursue his passion, he shares a unique musical bond with his father, who has been performing for over 40 years. Clint successfully completed his first priority as an AUM student, earning both a bachelors in visual art and a masters in art education.


DONNA FRANKLIN

Need to revive your "resolution" to get in shape this year? Donna Franklin may hold the key to your success. Co-owner of Resolution Fitness,she is living proof that hard work and determination can yield positive results! Her parents came to this country with nothing but a dream - and instilled in her a work ethic that has helped her achieve her goals in both business and life.
After graduating with a Masters in Health Promotion and Education, Donna started with the YMCAof the Shoals as a graduate assistant. She moved to Montgomery to become facility director for the Y's Up at Hillwood in 2006. The following year, she and her business partner, Corey Ellis, ventured out of their comfort zone to open Resolution Fitness. They offer consulting services, physical training, and participate in workshops and seminars all over the River Region! Both Donna and Corey continue to educate PE teachers on how to incorporate dance into their classes thru international dance, kickboxing, and hip hop.


HANAN WILSON

There is a new way to connect in the River Region, thanks to Hanan Wilson. As owner and operator of Productive IT, a professional website design and marketing firm in Montgomery, Hanan has launched a local social networking site where local individuals and businesses can get the word out  about everything local. RiverRegionOnline.com is a platform Hanan has developed over the past 12 years, fostering from a passion for small businesses and pride in the local community.
His unique knowledge of web design, internet marketing, hosting and network support allows Hanan to provide his clients with a broad range of services from full custom websites to his latest product, ProductiveCMS.com, a do it yourself,  low-cost, website building tool. Hanan and wife, Brianne, have three gorgeous children - Lauren (5), Zachary (2 1/2), and Michael (16 mos.)!


JOHN SADIE

Time to Tee Up! Even if you never have before - John Sadie enjoys the challenge! As Director of Golf for the city of Montgomery, John is responsible for managing Lagoon Park and Gateway Park golf courses and to provide instruction for everyone interested in taking their game to the next level. After attending the University of Arkansas on a golf scholarship, he came home to finish his degree in Communications and Business Administration at AUM. John was only 24 when he lost his father, but credits his mom with keeping him faithful to the Lord and motivated to take what his father had taught him and carry on. Today his dad would be proud!John has been married towife Lisa for the past 14 years - they have 2 beautiful children, 10 year old James and 7 year old Anna. This pro also coordinates our local First Tee program, which allows kids who may never be fortunate enough to play the game a chance to do just that! The program also teaches 9 core values to the youngsters.


KELLY BURNS HAWKINS

As a child, she was taught to finish what she started. This common childhood lesson prepared Kelly Hawkins for her extraordinary devotion to the children of Alabama. As Division Chief for the Family Protection Unit, she is honored to work alongside Attorney General, Troy King,...
fighting for child advocacy and prosecuting those who abuse children. Believing we are all born with a calling and purpose, Kelly recognized hers at the young age of 15.
Along with her faith, her parents (Dr. and Mrs. Jack Hawkins of Troy University) continue to be a source of inspiration in her life. She considers her father to be the epitome of leadership as he leaves his legacy by touching lives as a visionary. In addition, Kelly praises her mother for being the rock of both her family and Troy University, beautifully living her life in service of others. A graduate of Troy University and Regent University School of Law, Kelly spends each day working as a voice for the voiceless.


RASHAWN D DICKERSON

With an exceptional heart for those with special needs, Rashawn Dickerson serves as the Special Education Supervisor for Elmore County schools. She always knew she wanted to be a teacher and equally loves the role of student. A self-professing professional  student, she has earned 7 degrees in the education field from Auburn University Montgomery.
Now, after exhausting all other courses, she is planning to complete the doctoral program. Her field experience spans from teaching in the classroom to assistant principal by age thirty, which led her to her current position. She has found rising success at a young age to be a blessing and loves serving as an advocate for a population that is sometimes easily forgotten. She volunteers as a chairperson for the Special Olympics and was selected to serve on the present Leadership Montgomery team. She has a daughter, Morgan Mckinlee (5), and a God-daughter, Jaquesia(15). She loves the diversity and history of Montgomery and is proud to call it home!


TRISHUNDA MOONEY

Lights... Camera.... Action! Trishunda Antoinette Mooney is used to the limelight - whether it's modeling for a fashion show,or planning super successful weddings and corporate events with her company, Tre Chic' LLC - It's all in a day's work! Trishunda graduated from Jefferson Davis High School here in Montgomery and went on to graduate top of her class at Bauder College in Atlanta, where she majored in fashion merchandising.
Since then, she has coordinated events for some of the biggest organizations in our region - including the Sickle Cell Foundation of Montgomery, Cool Kids Cook Inc., the Kidney and Arthritis Foundations and more! You may recall seeing Trishunda on the cover of Journey Magazine in 2007.She has been an extra in several movies such as The Gospel, ATL& Honeydrippers and one day hopes to play a mutant in X-men! Trishunda also founded Feeding 5000, Inc. which is a charitable non-profit, faith based program that provides fresh fruit and vegetables thru garden programs in our area.


TYRONE FENDERSON

Local banks keep a community moving forward. Nobody understands that more than Tyrone Fenderson, Jr. who has been at it for over 18 years! Having received a Masters in Business Administration from Troy University and graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at LSU,hecurrently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of First Tuskegee Bank.
Tyrone moved to Montgomery from Birmingham 20 years ago to attend ASU, where he began his career at First Alabama Bank and trained with some of the brightest bankers in the country. A direct result of that training is his desire to be involved with the local community and give back where he can. Tyrone enjoys spending time with his wife Lisa and two charming boys - Tyrone III, aka "Trey" (5), and Justin (3).Tyrone shares the same birthday with his dad and his son - November 22nd! In trying economic times, it's good to have a friend in the banking business who understands the local market. Tyrone Fenderson Jr. is that friend!
